Privacy Policy

This policy explains how VPNPlox handles information when you browse the website, contact us, or follow a link to a VPN provider.

At a glance

VPNPlox is an informational comparison website. You do not need an account to browse the public site, and the public site does not use a first-party analytics service. We use Google AdSense to fund the site, so Google and its advertising partners may process information as described below. We receive information directly from you when you choose to contact us.

Information handled when you browse

VPNPlox is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may automatically process request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, requested URL, referring page, browser or device information, approximate location, and the date and time of a request.

VPNPlox does not add a first-party analytics profile to this information. Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy.

Information you choose to provide

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information included in your message. We use it to respond, review a correction or listing request, maintain a record of the conversation where necessary, and protect against abuse. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed for your request.

Cookies and local storage

VPNPlox does not set a first-party preference or analytics cookie. Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to deliver, measure, secure, and personalize advertising where permitted. Cloudflare may also set cookies that are strictly necessary for security or abuse prevention when a relevant Cloudflare feature is active. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect ads or security checks.

Google advertising

We use Google AdSense to display and measure advertisements. When a page loads, your browser may connect directly to Google and its advertising partners. They may receive information such as your IP address, browser or device information, the page you visited, ad interactions, and identifiers stored in cookies. Depending on your location and privacy choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

Affiliate links and other websites

Some links to VPN providers are affiliate links. The URL may contain an identifier that lets the provider attribute a referral to VPNPlox. If you follow one of these links, the destination website may receive standard request information, including your IP address, browser information, referring page, and affiliate identifier, and may set its own cookies. Its privacy policy applies from that point onward.

We may receive aggregated referral or commission reports from affiliate partners. We do not receive your payment-card details, VPN credentials, browsing activity, or traffic sent through a VPN service.

How and why we use information

  • To deliver the site and keep it reliable and secure.
  • To respond when you ask a question, submit a correction, or request a listing.
  • To detect abuse, investigate security incidents, and comply with legal obligations.
  • To fund the site by displaying and measuring advertisements through Google AdSense.
  • To understand affiliate referrals and administer commissions without changing provider rankings.

Sharing and selling information

VPNPlox does not directly sell personal information. Information may be processed by Google and its advertising partners for ad delivery and measurement, by service providers that host and secure the site, disclosed when required by law, or used when reasonably necessary to protect VPNPlox, our users, or others. Following an external link is a direct interaction between you and the destination website.

Retention

We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain accurate records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Hosting and security metadata is retained according to Cloudflare's applicable settings and policies. We do not promise a fixed retention period where the information is controlled by another provider.

International processing

Cloudflare, Google, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their privacy terms describe the safeguards they use for international transfers.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

Children's privacy

VPNPlox is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. Material changes will be published on this page.
